cermConfigResGroupStorageType

Module: CISCO-ERM-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ERM-MIB::cermConfigResGroupStorageType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.3.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: StorageType

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the storage type of this conceptual row. If it is set to 'nonVolatile', this entry can be saved into non-volatile memory.

What is cermConfigResGroupStorageType?

This indicates the storage type of the conceptual row for a resource group's configuration entry, where nonVolatile preserves that group's definition across a device reload. Since a resource group can bundle together several individually-tracked processes for combined threshold monitoring, losing this configuration to a reload by leaving it volatile would silently dissolve that grouping and revert monitoring to individual, ungrouped processes. A Routing-Protocols resource group left at the default volatile storage type would simply not exist anymore after the next reload, and the OSPF/BGP/EIGRP processes it contained would go back to being monitored individually.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.3.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ERM-MIB::cermConfigResGroupStorageType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.3.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ERM-MIB::cermConfigResGroupStorageType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.510.1.3.3.1.3.1 s <value>
