ceSensorExtThresholdRelation

Module: CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::ceSensorExtThresholdRelation

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.745.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CiscoSensorThresholdRelation

Access: read-write

Description: This object specifies the boolean relation between
sensor value (entPhySensorValue) and threshold value
(ceSensorExtThresholdValue), required to
trigger the alarm.

in pseudo-code, the evaluation-alarm mechanism is:

...
if (evaluate(entPhySensorValue,
             ceSensorExtThresholdRelation,
             ceSensorExtThresholdValue))
then
    if (((ceSensorExtThresholdNotifEnable
            == enabled) ||
          (ceSensorExtThresholdNotifEnable
            == transparent)) &&
          (ceSensorExtThresholdNotifGlobalEnable
            == enabled))
    then
        raise_alarm(sensor's entPhysicalIndex);
       endif
endif
...

What is ceSensorExtThresholdRelation?

Defines the comparison operator (e.g., greater than, less than, equal) used to evaluate the sensor's current reading against its configured threshold value to decide whether to trigger an alarm.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.745.1.1.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::ceSensorExtThresholdRelation

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.745.1.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-EXT-MIB::ceSensorExtThresholdRelation.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.745.1.1.1.3.1 s <value>
