cdsx0BundleExtDs1Index

Module: CISCO-DS0BUNDLE-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-DS0BUNDLE-EXT-MIB::cdsx0BundleExtDs1Index

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.33.1.1.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: InterfaceIndex

Access: read-write

Description: The ifIndex of the DS1 line containing the ds0 timeslots in this bundle.

The ds0 bundle interface is layered on top of the DS1 line. This layering is represented in the ifStackTable.

This object is not instantiated until the value is specified.

The value may be set only when the ds0 bundle is created.

What is cdsx0BundleExtDs1Index?

This object holds the ifIndex of the DS1, T1 or E1, line that contains the DS0 timeslots making up this DS0 bundle, and per its description can only be set when the bundle is first created. This is the link between a logical DS0 bundle, built from individual 64kbps timeslots, and its underlying physical T1 or E1 line, so an admin troubleshooting the bundle's connectivity needs this value to know exactly which physical circuit to check for line-level problems like alarms or errors. If a DS0 bundle configured for this object pointing to T1 controller 0/0/0 starts having issues, an admin would go check that specific T1 line's alarm and error counters rather than looking at other T1 lines on the router.
