What is ciscoatmSigSupportHiLyrInfo?

This read-write object indicates whether to accept, transfer, and deliver the Broadband High Layer Information Element from the calling party to the called party. This IE is how the calling application tells the called application what higher-layer protocol or service it's requesting, so disabling this delivery means the called device loses that hint and may fail to correctly recognize or negotiate the requested service even though the underlying ATM connection is established fine. Two ATM-attached applications relying on this IE to auto-negotiate a compatible service profile would need to fall back to a default or fail to interoperate if this object were disabled.
