ciscoatmInterfaceCurrentMinSvccVci

Module: CISCO-ATM2-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-ATM2-MIB::ciscoatmInterfaceCurrentMinSvccVci

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.10.23.1.3.1.21

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The minimum VCI that the signalling stack on the ATM interface may currently allocate to switched virtual channel connections. This value is the maximum of ciscoatmInterfaceConfMinSvccVci, and the ciscoatmInterfaceConfMinSvccVci of the interface's UNI/NNI peer.

If the interface does not negotiate with its peer to determine the minimum VCI that can be allocated to SVCCs on the interface, then the value of this object must equal ciscoatmInterfaceConfMinSvccVci.

What is ciscoatmInterfaceCurrentMinSvccVci?

This read-only value reports the minimum VCI the signalling stack may currently allocate to switched virtual channel connections, computed as the maximum of this interface's own configured minimum and its peer's, or a fixed value if not negotiated. Because it's the maximum, not the minimum, of the two sides' configured floors, the more restrictive of the local and peer settings wins, so it reveals whether the peer is actually enforcing a higher VCI floor than this switch's own configuration would otherwise allow. A local floor of 32 combined with a peer that insists on reserving VCIs up to 63 would leave this object reading 64, meaning no SVCC on this interface can actually be assigned below VCI 64 despite the local configuration alone permitting it.
