Description: Enables the generation of a trap when a power supply enters a warning state, such as one or more output voltages being out of range. This parameter is effective across all PSUs in the chassis.

What is uchasPSUWarningTrapEna?

This chassis-wide switch controls whether any power supply in the chassis entering a warning state -- as the description notes, for example one or more output rails drifting out of their normal voltage range -- generates a trap, log entry, both, or neither, covering all PSUs installed rather than being settable per unit. An admin wants this enabled specifically to catch the early, softer signal from uchasPowerSupplyOutStatus going to warning before a supply progresses to an outright uchasPowerSupplyOperStatus bad state, buying lead time to schedule a proactive swap. For example, with this set to enableTrap(1), a +12V rail sagging into the warning band on the primary PSU alerts the admin days before it might otherwise fail outright and force an unplanned failover to the redundant supply.
