Since only four such timers exist chassis-wide, an admin managing several unrelated scheduled tasks must budget them carefully across Timers 1 through 4 rather than assuming unlimited scheduling slots. For example, having already used Timers 1-3 for backup, polling, and self-test scripts, an admin might reserve this fourth and last timer for a monthly script that rotates or archives accumulated log data before the timer slots run out.
