An admin correlating a Check Point Gaia security appliance alert back to its exact trap type uses this to programmatically classify or route the alert, for example routing disk-space traps differently from intrusion-detection traps, without parsing the free-text message. A row reporting this object as corresponding to a disk-space-low trap definition tells an automated alerting system to route it to the infrastructure team rather than the security team.
