Description: This is the current (and desired) word size for serial port 1 (DTE). The power-on default is 8 bits.
What is chasControlDTEWordSize?
This object holds the current (and desired) word size for serial port 1 (DTE, the modem port), defaulting to 8 bits at power-on. This must match the attached modem's configuration for reliable dial-in management access, making it one more parameter to check when out-of-band modem access to the chassis stops working. A modem configured for 7-bit data against a chassis still at the default chasControlDTEWordSize of 8 would fail to establish a clean dial-in management session.
