What is maxMulticastTraffic?

This object caps, in kilobit/s, the total bandwidth the OLT/ONU will allocate to broadcast/multicast entertainment channels on a given line, and per the description must be a multiple of 10kbps and not exceed the DSL line's rate. A network admin tunes this to prevent multicast video traffic from starving a subscriber's unicast internet/VoIP traffic on a shared DSL line, especially important on lower-bandwidth lines where too many simultaneous HD channels would saturate the link. On a 20Mbps DSL line, an admin might set maxMulticastTraffic to 8000 (8Mbps) so multicast TV can never crowd out the bandwidth reserved for browsing.
