Setting this write-only object to deleteImage (1) erases all software images currently stored in the node's flash memory; noOperation (100) does nothing. This is a destructive, irreversible cleanup action, so an admin would only use it when reclaiming flash space, such as before loading a new image onto a node with limited flash capacity, and should confirm a good image is safely available elsewhere first. For example, an admin preparing to load a much larger new firmware image onto a space-constrained node might delete old images first to make room, but only after confirming the currently running image doesn't also get wiped out in the process.
