Setting this write-only object to currentToalternate (1) copies the currently active software image into the alternate flash bank, alternateTocurrent (2) copies the other direction, and noOperation (100) does nothing. An admin uses this to create a known-good backup image in the alternate bank before attempting a risky upgrade, or to restore a previously known-good image from the alternate bank back into the active slot if an upgrade goes wrong. For example, setting this to alternateTocurrent after a failed firmware upgrade would roll the node's active image back to whatever was previously saved in the alternate bank.
