Setting this write-only object to currentToalternate (1) copies the node's current configuration memory (cmem) into the alternate flash bank, alternateTocurrent (2) copies the other direction, and noOperation (100) does nothing. This is the configuration-memory counterpart to cdx6500ContFlashCopyImage, letting an admin back up or restore the node's configuration data independently of its software image. For example, an admin would copy cmem currentToalternate before making a risky bulk configuration change, so it can be restored via alternateTocurrent if the change causes problems.
