Description: The total number of IP packets sent to the Ethernet interface.
What is cdmipTotalIpPacketsRoutedToEthernet?
This counts the total number of IP packets sent out to the Ethernet interface. This is the outbound counterpart to cdmipTotalIpPacketsFromSatellite, and the ratio between the two shows how efficiently satellite-received traffic is being delivered to the local LAN versus being dropped somewhere in the pipeline. If this counter grows noticeably slower than cdmipTotalIpPacketsFromSatellite over the same period, the difference represents traffic being dropped internally rather than reaching the LAN, which the various dropped-packet counters would help explain.
