Description: SNMP Trap Destination #2: The secondary IP Address to which traps will be sent.
What is cdmipSnmpTrapDestinationIpAddress2?
This holds a secondary IP address to which the modem also sends SNMP traps, in addition to the primary destination. Having this second, independent trap destination lets an admin send the same alarms to a redundant NMS or a secondary monitoring tool, so a single collector outage does not mean losing visibility into the modem's alarms entirely. Pointing this at a backup NMS in a different data center than the primary trap destination ensures alarm visibility survives even if the primary NOC's monitoring system goes offline.
