Description: Enable or disable 'Quality of Service' (QoS) in the modem's router.
What is cdmipQosOpt?
This enables or disables Quality of Service handling in the modem's built-in router. Turning this on activates traffic prioritization logic, such as favoring latency-sensitive VoIP or video over bulk file transfer, across the satellite link's limited bandwidth, so its effect is really felt when the link is congested rather than when it is lightly loaded. Enabling this on a link carrying both VoIP and FTP traffic would let voice packets get prioritized ahead of bulk transfers whenever the satellite carrier's bandwidth is fully utilized.
