What is cdmipIgmpForceAlertOption?
This controls, when acting as an IGMP client, whether the modem sets the Router Alert IP option on its IGMPv1 membership reports. Some routers along the path are strict about requiring the Router Alert option on IGMP packets and may otherwise ignore them, so this setting matters specifically for interoperability with network equipment upstream of the modem that enforces that requirement. Enabling this on a network where an upstream router drops IGMP packets lacking the Router Alert option would be necessary to get that router to actually recognize this modem's V1 membership reports.
