What is cdmipEncryptionOption?
This reports whether the Triple DES encryption FAST feature license is available on this unit. This gates whether the 3xDES transmit and receive key objects, cdmipTransmitKey1 through 8 and cdmipReceiveKey1 through 8, and the per-route encryption setting actually do anything, since on an unlicensed unit those objects exist in the MIB but the encryption feature itself will not function. Before deploying encrypted traffic over a satellite link carrying sensitive data, an admin would check this reports available on both ends of the link, since encryption requires it on both the transmit and receive side.
