This read-only object is the index (1 to 4) for the demodulator monitor table, identifying which demodulator a given row of Rx status readings, like alarm, Eb/No, and signal level, applies to. This index is what lets a management station distinguish, on a multi-demodulator unit, whether a degraded Eb/No or signal level reading belongs to one demodulator's link or another's -- critical for correctly attributing an alarm to the right physical antenna feed or carrier. An NMS alerting on a degraded Eb/No value would need to also report the corresponding demodulator index so the on-call engineer knows which of the unit's up-to-four satellite links actually needs attention.
