What is eponTrafficProfileCfgPir?
This integer (64-10240000, in kbps) configures the Peak Information Rate, the ceiling a port or ONU bound to this profile may burst up to when spare PON capacity is available, above its guaranteed CIR. Admins raise this to let subscribers enjoy occasional high-speed bursts without permanently reserving that capacity. For example, setting eponTrafficProfileCfgPir to 20000 lets a '5M/20M burst' subscriber temporarily reach 20 Mbps for a large download when the PON segment isn't busy.
