Description: Description.

What is eponSrvProfileLoopbackDetectCheck?

This enables or disables loopback detection on ports using this service profile - detecting when a port's own traffic somehow loops back to itself, for example from a misconnected cable or a customer-side switch loop - per the object's name and EponSwitch syntax (the description is only the placeholder 'Description.'). Because an undetected loop on a subscriber-facing port can flood the shared upstream PON and degrade service for other subscribers sharing that same OLT port, enabling this check lets the OLT automatically flag or shut down a looping port before it congests the shared PON, rather than an admin having to notice the resulting slowdown manually. Enabling loopback detection on a service profile serving business ONUs would catch a customer accidentally daisy-chaining a switch back into itself, and could disable that specific port before it floods the shared PON.
