What is eponSlaProfileCycleLength?
This unsigned integer (200-16777215) sets the length of the DBA polling/scheduling cycle during which the OLT grants upstream transmission windows to ONUs governed by this SLA profile. Admins shorten it to reduce upstream latency and jitter for real-time traffic, at the cost of more per-cycle scheduling overhead on the OLT. For example, shortening eponSlaProfileCycleLength for a VoIP-heavy SLA profile reduces call latency and jitter, while a data-only SLA profile can tolerate a longer cycle with less scheduling overhead.
