What is eponOnuLoidAuthenPassword?
This OCTET STRING (0-12 bytes; 0 meaning none configured) holds an optional password paired with a LOID entry to strengthen ONU authentication against LOID guessing or spoofing. Admins set a password specifically to prevent a different physical ONU from impersonating a subscriber's known LOID and stealing that subscriber's bandwidth allocation. For example, setting eponOnuLoidAuthenPassword alongside a LOID entry blocks an attacker who has guessed or observed the LOID string from authenticating without also knowing the matching password.
