What is eponOnuAuthenticationModeAdaptive?
This EponSwitch enables 'adaptive' ONU authentication, where the OLT automatically learns and authorizes new ONUs rather than requiring every device to be manually whitelisted by MAC or LOID first. Admins toggle it on for fast mass rollouts and off when every device onboarding needs an audited manual step. For example, enabling eponOnuAuthenticationModeAdaptive lets a technician swap in a replacement ONU and have it come online automatically without the NOC first entering its MAC address.
