cat2600TsPipePorts

Module: CAT2600-MIB

OID (symbolic): CAT2600-MIB::cat2600TsPipePorts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.111.1.2.4.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: The set of ports in this switch which are active in this Pipe. Each octet within the value of this object specifies a set of eight ports, with the first octet specifying ports 1 through 8, the second octet specifying ports 9 through 16 (if available), etc. Within each octet, the most significant bit represents the lowest numbered port, and the least significant bit represents the highest numbered port. Thus, each port of the NWays LAN Switch is represented by a single bit within the value of this object. If that bit has a value of '1' then that port is included in the set of ports; the port is not included if its bit has a value of '0'.

What is cat2600TsPipePorts?

This is a 32-bit bitmap defining which physical ports belong to a given TokenPipe, using the same most-significant-bit-is-lowest-port-number convention seen in cat2600TsDmnPorts and cat2600TsFilterPorts. An admin edits this to group or regroup ports into shared Token-Ring segments (pipes) without recabling, effectively defining which ports share the same logical ring. Setting the first octet to 0xC0 would place ports 1 and 2 into this pipe while excluding all other ports covered by that octet.
