Module: Brcm-adapterInfo-MIB

OID (symbolic): Brcm-adapterInfo-MIB::ifState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.3.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The operating mode of the driver, this information only applicable to the Broadcom adapter

What is ifState?

Reports the adapter driver's current operating mode: normal-mode, diagnostic-mode, adapter-removed, or lowpower-mode. An admin would check this if the adapter appears unresponsive, to see whether it's stuck in diagnostics or low-power state rather than simply down.
