sliceColumnOID

Module: BULK-DATA-MIB

OID (symbolic): BULK-DATA-MIB::sliceColumnOID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.999.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OBJECT IDENTIFIER

Access: read-create

Description: An Object Identifier, which must refer to a column of a conceptual table. A slice is defined to be a series of columns OIDs that exist in various tables which are accessible via the local agent.

What is sliceColumnOID?

A read-create object identifying one column of an existing MIB table that should be included in a data "slice" -- a user-defined subset of the agent's own MIB data. A slice is built by adding one row per column OID, so a manager creates several sliceEntry rows with different sliceColumnOID values to assemble a custom bulk-export view, for example combining ifDescr and ifInOctets from ifTable.
