What is protocolXferStatsBytesRead?
This is a running total of the number of bytes read via the protocol (NFS or CIFS) and file system identified by that table row. Admins use it to track read throughput per protocol and file system over time, e.g. to see whether CIFS or NFS clients are generating more read traffic on a given volume.
