bdlocIfSlowInPkts

Module: BDCOM-INTERFACES

OID (symbolic): BDCOM-INTERFACES::bdlocIfSlowInPkts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3320.2.2.1.1.30

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description: Packet count for Inbound traffic routed with slow switching

What is bdlocIfSlowInPkts?

This counter tallies inbound packets that were routed using slow switching (process switching by the CPU) rather than fast switching (via hardware). Operators use it to detect CPU load spikes. Example: bdlocIfSlowInPkts = 5000 indicates 5,000 packets were slow-switched; if this count grows, CPU is saturated and switching performance is degraded.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3320.2.2.1.1.30
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> BDCOM-INTERFACES::bdlocIfSlowInPkts

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3320.2.2.1.1.30.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> BDCOM-INTERFACES::bdlocIfSlowInPkts.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> bdlocIfSlowInPkts.1
