What is bdlocIfCarTrans?
This counter tracks the number of times the carrier signal (used on serial lines to indicate the remote device is connected) transitioned between up and down. Example: bdlocIfCarTrans = 47 indicates the carrier has gone up/down 47 times; a high number suggests an unstable connection or a flaky modem.
