Description: Indicates the status of Ethernet link for release 3 or earlier hardware platforms. Indicates the speed of the Ethernet link for release 4 or later platforms. The values fastBlink1000BaseT, solidOn100BaseT, and slowBlink10BaseT are applicable only to release 4 hardware platforms.
What is linkStatusOrSpeedLed?
This reports what the front-panel link LED is showing: on release 3 and earlier hardware it's just Ethernet link up/down (off/on), while on release 4 and later hardware the same LED instead indicates link speed via the additional fastBlink1000BaseT, solidOn100BaseT, and slowBlink10BaseT states. Which meaning applies depends entirely on the hardware release, so an admin needs to know the unit's platform generation before reading this value.
