awcAcctServerTimeout

Module: AWCVX-MIB

OID (symbolic): AWCVX-MIB::awcAcctServerTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.522.3.19.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The amount of time (in seconds) that an Access Point should wait for a response from the Accounting server before retransmitting the request. If the Access Point does not receive a response within the timeout period, it retransmits the request. If no response is received for a maximum of awcAcctServerMaxRetransmission retransmissions, the server is considered not reachable and a secondary server (if any) will be chosen. If the AP and the Accounting server are connected through a low-speed network and the awcAcctServerTimeout value is set to too low, the network may become congested, as the AP retransmits unacknowledged accounting requests that have not yet reached the server

What is awcAcctServerTimeout?

Defines how many seconds the access point waits for a response from the accounting server before retransmitting the request. If no reply arrives within this window, the AP retries up to the configured maximum retransmission count.
