avWlanSwitchVlanGenNumberMismatch

Module: AVAYA-WLAN-MOB-SW-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB

OID (symbolic): AVAYA-WLAN-MOB-SW-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB::avWlanSwitchVlanGenNumberMismatch

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.19.0.1.9

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: A avWlanSwitchVlanGenNumberMismatch trap signifies that the SNMP entity, acting in an agent role, has detected change in the generation number. Mobility switches advertise the generation numbers for the mapped mobility vlans in the mobility domain. Generation numbers are used to detect stale mobility vlans. The mobility vlan name, mobility switch generation number and the peer switch generation number is passed as parameter. This is enabled by default.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' AVAYA-WLAN-MOB-SW-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB::avWlanSwitchVlanGenNumberMismatch
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.7.19.0.1.9

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:63923->[192.168.30.10]:162]:

  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: AVAYA-WLAN-MOB-SW-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB::avWlanSwitchVlanGenNumberMismatch
