Description: Manages LACP link aggregation group configuration on Askey DSLAM uplink interfaces.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ASKEY-DSLAM-LINK-AGGREGATION-CONTROL-PROTOCOL-MIB?
This MIB manages Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) configuration on uplink interfaces of Askey DSLAM equipment, a vendor-specific module for broadband access hardware. It exposes configuration data for aggregation groups and member ports, including group activity mode, timeout settings, and port priority. Its monitoring value lies in confirming the software/link status of bonded uplinks: whether a group is running in active or passive LACP mode, and whether each port remains a valid member of its aggregation group, which reveals a failed or misconfigured uplink. It builds on the IEEE 802.3ad LACP standard, implemented here as a vendor extension for Askey's DSLAM platform. It is typically deployed in telecom central office or street cabinet DSLAMs where multiple physical links are bonded into a single logical uplink for resiliency and bandwidth. Engineers can download the ASKEY-DSLAM-LINK-AGGREGATION-CONTROL-PROTOCOL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASKEY-DSLAM-LINK-AGGREGATION-CONTROL-PROTOCOL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Askey DSLAM
- DSL access multiplexer uplink interfaces
Monitoring Examples
The module defines lacpGroupTable/lacpGroupEntry with askeyLacpGroupId, askeyLacpGroupActivity, and askeyLacpGroupTimeout, plus lacpPortTable/lacpPortEntry with askeyLacpPortId, askeyLacpPortGroupId, and askeyLacpPortPriority. An administrator would poll askeyLacpGroupActivity to confirm the aggregation group is negotiating in active mode, and check lacpPortTable to verify all expected ports remain members of their group. A port unexpectedly missing from its group entry indicates a failed physical link or a peer-side LACP misconfiguration on the uplink.
What Can Be Monitored
- LACP aggregation group configuration
- aggregated port membership
- LACP activity mode (active/passive)
- LACP timeout setting
- port priority
- system LACP priority
