Description: This variable describes the line coding for this interface. The B3ZS and CMI are used for electrical SONET/SDH signals (STS-1 and STS-3). The Non-Return to Zero (NRZ) and the Return to Zero are used for optical SONET/SDH signals.
What is acSonetPortMediumLineCoding?
This writable enumeration selects the line code: B3ZS(2) for electrical SONET, CMI(3) for optical, or NRZ(4)/RZ(5) variants. Different line codes optimize for different transmission media. Setting to b3zs(2) enables B3ZS zero-suppression encoding for electrical DS1/DS3 signals.
