Description: Manages system-level configuration parameters on AI-series network access devices including network settings and system identity.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AISYSCFG-MIB?
AISYSCFG-MIB is an Applied Innovation, Inc. vendor MIB that acts as a top-level MODULE-IDENTITY grouping umbrella for several system-configuration sub-modules on AI-series network access devices, registered under the aii enterprise subtree. Rather than defining leaf OBJECT-TYPE objects itself, it declares child MODULE-IDENTITY nodes — aiSysCfgSoftware (software/firmware image identification by name, type, version, and date), aiSysCfgTime (device timekeeping), aiSysCfgPower (power supply modules), aiSysCfgFan (fan units), and aiSysCfgTemp (temperature probes) — establishing the OID structure that the associated object modules populate. This structural role is useful for understanding how Applied Innovation organizes system-health monitoring (power, cooling, temperature) and software-inventory data across its AI network access product line, even though the detailed monitoring objects live in the sibling modules referenced here. It is deployed as the identity/registration module alongside its associated sub-MIBs on Applied Innovation network access devices. Engineers documenting Applied Innovation equipment can consult the AISYSCFG-MIB MIB to understand this module hierarchy.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AISYSCFG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Applied Innovation Inc. AI-series network access devices
Monitoring Examples
An operator locates the aiSysCfgPower and aiSysCfgFan MODULE-IDENTITY subtrees to find the associated power-supply and fan health objects for a given AI network access device, cross-referencing aiSysCfgSoftware to confirm the expected firmware image name and version are running before investigating a reported hardware alarm.
What Can Be Monitored
- software/firmware image name, type, version, and date
- system time configuration
- power supply module identity subtree
- fan module identity subtree
- temperature probe identity subtree
