OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.795.50.10.1.7009.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DmiInteger64X

Access: read-only

Description: The number of blocks contained in this aggregate p_extent to be used as check data. If the Aggregate p_extent is available, then this value shall be zero.

What is a7009NumberOfBlocksOfCheckData?

This large integer shows how many blocks within the physical extent are reserved for parity, check data, or redundancy purposes rather than user data. An engineer monitors this to verify that redundancy (such as RAID parity) is properly configured and consuming the expected storage overhead. If this value is zero, no redundancy is assigned; if it equals 262,144 blocks, that region is using 1GB for parity protection.
