What is a7009NumberOfBlocks?

This large integer counter shows the total number of storage blocks (including parity/check blocks) contained within a single physical extent, typically in the range of millions depending on disk size. An engineer needs this to understand the physical storage layout and calculate where redundancy is allocated within the array. If this value is 2,097,152 blocks and block size is 4KB, the physical extent occupies 8GB of the drive.
