ausArrayMembership

Module: ADAPTEC-UNIVERSAL-STORAGE-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADAPTEC-UNIVERSAL-STORAGE-MIB::ausArrayMembership

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.795.14.1.1000.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: For non-composite arrays (e.g., a straight mirror, RAID-1, set) this field is always 0. For composite arrays (e.g. stripe set of mirrors, RAID-10) this field indicates the position in the array hierarchy. If this is the topmost array in the hierarchy, this field will be 0. If this is a subordinate array in the hierarchy, this field is set to a value equal to the index of the entry in the Array Table locating its parent.

What is ausArrayMembership?

This integer shows the position of the array in a nested RAID hierarchy (such as RAID 10, which combines striping and mirroring). A value of 0 means the array is at the top level with no parent, while any other value is an index pointing to its parent array in the hierarchy. Network engineers use this to understand the complete RAID structure and how data flows through multiple levels of striping or mirroring.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.795.14.1.1000.1.1.14
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ADAPTEC-UNIVERSAL-STORAGE-MIB::ausArrayMembership

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.795.14.1.1000.1.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ADAPTEC-UNIVERSAL-STORAGE-MIB::ausArrayMembership.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ausArrayMembership.1
