What is acdShaper1CodePointStatsQMgmtDropOctets?
This counter tracks bytes intentionally discarded by congestion-avoidance algorithms like random early discard, which proactively drops packets to prevent queue overflow. These are deliberate drops designed to manage congestion gracefully rather than emergency buffer exhaustion. A value of 1,000,000 octets means 1 MB of traffic was proactively dropped to prevent worse congestion.
