What is acdDescMacBaseAddr?

This OID stores the base MAC address from which the device derives all its interface MAC addresses, allowing identification of which device owns unknown MAC addresses. Network engineers use this during network discovery to map unknown MAC addresses back to the originating device when troubleshooting connectivity. For example, if you see MAC addresses 00:A1:B2:C3:D4:01, 00:A1:B2:C3:D4:02, the base address 00:A1:B2:C3:D4:00 identifies the device.
