Description: This is a count of the total number of Synthetic Loss Message (SLM) PDU transmitted by the MEP (OpCode 55).
What is acdCfmMepStatsTxSlmPdu?
This counter measures Synthetic Loss Message packets sent to inject test traffic and measure realistic packet loss under controlled conditions. Unlike passive loss measurements, SLM actively generates test frames to simulate real traffic and measure how the network handles it. A count of 1,000 SLM probes sent throughout the day shows continuous synthetic load testing to catch problems before they impact users.
