What is acdCfmMepStatsRxAisPdu?
This counter tracks Alarm Indication Signal (AIS) PDUs received by the MEP, which are upstream notifications that a fault or defect was detected and is propagating downstream. Network engineers care about AIS messages because they often indicate a failure farther upstream that will eventually affect this endpoint. For example, 5 AISs received means the MEP detected five separate upstream fault events that were being broadcasted through the network.
