What is acdCfmMepCfgCciEnable?
This OID is a true/false switch that enables the MEP to transmit Continuity Check Messages (CCM), which are the heartbeat packets CFM uses to detect link failures. Network engineers enable this on all MEPs they want to actively monitor, because without CCM the system cannot detect faults. For example, setting it to 'true' causes the MEP to send periodic heartbeat messages that prove the link is working.
