accX25MaxBackoff

Module: ACC-X25

OID (symbolic): ACC-X25::accX25MaxBackoff

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.17.3.1.18

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

Maximum backoff time (seconds) to delay between subsequent attempts to open additional virtual circuits to the same destination. The actual delay is varied exponentially from accX25InitBackoff up to this value.

What is accX25MaxBackoff?

This OID stores the maximum delay time (in seconds) that the system will wait between successive retry attempts when trying to establish additional virtual circuits to the same X.25 destination. Network engineers configure this value to balance responsiveness with network load when circuits repeatedly fail to connect. For example, a value of 30 means the system exponentially backs off from the initial retry delay up to a maximum of 30 seconds between attempts.
