accX25IdleScale

Module: ACC-X25

OID (symbolic): ACC-X25::accX25IdleScale

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.17.3.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-write

Description:

scale factor for idle timeout: a circuit will be cleared when it has been idle for accX25IdleMin plus accX25IdleScale times the number of available circuits.

What is accX25IdleScale?

This OID defines a scale factor that dynamically adjusts idle timeout based on the number of active circuits on the port. Engineers use this to give longer timeouts when fewer circuits exist, and shorter timeouts when many are open, balancing resource use against stability. If accX25IdleScale is 1000 and 8 circuits are open, idle timeout increases by 8000 hundredths of a second (80 seconds) beyond the minimum.
