accSyslogSeverity

Module: ACC-SYSTEM

OID (symbolic): ACC-SYSTEM::accSyslogSeverity

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.1.15.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: severity level of the messages to be sent.

What is accSyslogSeverity?

This OID controls the minimum severity level (1–7) of syslog messages the system will send, as a writable integer setting. Engineers adjust this to reduce log noise by filtering out low-priority messages, keeping only alerts that matter. For example, setting it to "4" (Warning level) would suppress Info and Debug messages.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.1.15.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-SYSTEM::accSyslogSeverity

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.1.15.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-SYSTEM::accSyslogSeverity.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.1.15.1.2.1 i <value>
