accRipProfileUpdateInterval

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipProfileUpdateInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The periodic RIP update interval.

What is accRipProfileUpdateInterval?

This OID specifies how often (in seconds, range 5 to 3600) this RIP profile broadcasts its periodic routing updates; shorter intervals speed propagation but use more bandwidth. Network engineers adjust this based on network size and change frequency—busy networks might use 30 seconds while stable small networks might use 60 seconds. Setting to 30 means RIP will broadcast its entire routing table every 30 seconds.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipProfileUpdateInterval

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipProfileUpdateInterval.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.2.1 i <value>
