accRipProfileShortPollRetries

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipProfileShortPollRetries

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The number of times RIP will retry to establish a non-responding neighbor using the short poll interval (5 minutes) after the neighbor has gone non-responding.

What is accRipProfileShortPollRetries?

This OID sets how many times (0 to 120) RIP will retry contacting a non-responding neighbor using a short 5-minute poll interval. Network engineers adjust this to control how long RIP tries to re-establish a failed neighbor relationship before switching to longer intervals. Setting to 10 means RIP will attempt contact 10 times at 5-minute intervals, for a total of 50 minutes of short polling.
