accRipProfileRetxTO

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipProfileRetxTO

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The interval in seconds that RIP will wait before retransmitting a triggered update (fragment).

What is accRipProfileRetxTO?

This OID specifies the timeout in seconds (1 to 30) RIP waits before retransmitting a triggered (change-driven) update fragment if not acknowledged. Network engineers set this based on expected link latency and reliability; longer values suit high-latency links while shorter values suit fast LANs. Setting to 5 means RIP will wait 5 seconds for a neighbor to acknowledge a triggered update before resending.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipProfileRetxTO

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipProfileRetxTO.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.5.1 i <value>
